5-Peppercorn BLTs

This recipe is so simple and delicious. Our 5-Peppercorn blend can be used on so many things, but for some reason my absolute FAVORITE use is on a good old fashioned BLT! Give it a try!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. thick-cut sliced bacon

  • 8 slices brioche or white bread

  • 2 beefsteak tomatoes, sliced

  • 8-12 large leaves of lettuce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1-2 tsp 5-Peppercorn Blend

 

PREPARATION

1) Heat large skillet to medium temperature.

2) Cut bacon slices in half (optional, but I find it cooks quicker and is easier to pile up on your sandwich later)

3) Place bacon in skillet in an even layer. Render until crispy, turning frequently. (This step is usually completed in 2-3 batches depending on the size of your skillet and is finished in about 15-20 minutes depending the thickness of your bacon. ie: thicker bacon=more time). Place done bacon on paper towel-lined plate to soak up grease. Set aside.

4) Lightly toast bread. Evenly spread mayo over each slice (about 2 tsp. each…or more - we won’t judge!). Place lettuce on top of mayo.

5) Generously sprinkle 5-Peppercorn Blend over tomato slices. Place tomatoes on top of lettuce.

6) Evenly distribute bacon to each sandwich and place on top of bacon. Cover with other slice of bread. Enjoy!

Try adding avocado, cheese, or a fried egg for a playful rendition of this delicious sandwich!
